Throughout her career, Janie has collaborated with some great artists in her songwriting and production work, as demonstrated by the credits throughout this site. An indispensable partner in these endeavors has been and continues to be Mick Hanson, an extraordinary writer, guitar player, and producer hailing from Romford, England. Mick moved to the States in the early 80's, when he toured with ex-Sex Pistol Glen Matlock and his band The Spectres.
Janie and Mick performing at the Oxygen Network Tank Tour Margaret Dorn is another frequent collaborator. Margaret was brought to New York by Joseph Papp to be part of his Public Theatre. She has since made a name for herself as a writer, singer (backing up artists from Petula Clark to Bette Midler) and vocal arranger (most notably for The Bottom Line's Downtown Messiah. Julie Dansky is another songwriting partner. Julie, along with Craig Hazen, is the artistic force behind the very successful Zen Music, creating great commercial music for over 15 years.
